Your Love Is An Island is the new track from Talos. Likened to James Blake and Bon Iver, the Cork artist has crafted a fragile song that gently weaves its path through textures and ambient noise.
The track is taken from the O Sanctum EP and was produced by Talos together with Valgeir Sigurðsson, with mixing by Valgier at Greenhouse Studios in Iceland. With remixes on the EP that include work by Sin Fang, it is clear Talos, real name Eoin French, feels at least some level of connection to Iceland... A land that reflects the stark beauty of French's music.
Describing Your Love Is An Island, Talos says:
“Your love is an island, I’m scorched in the sands of it…"
“The image described in the last lines sum up what the song is about for me - the struggle to find that sense of peace that only comes from attaining ones dreams and desires. The idea of being so close but still so far from salvation - and not knowing if you'll ever really find it even if reached.”
